Invisalign is a revolutionary orthodontic treatment that can treat a wide variety of orthodontic issues without metal brackets and wires. Patients especially enjoy that the aligners are virtually invisible, and they can eat whatever they like during treatment!
Millions of people have used Invisalign clear aligners to treat a wide variety of orthodontic issues including crowded teeth, overbite, underbite, gapped teeth and more. The Invisalign treatment provides largely the same benefits as traditional metal braces without much of the inconvenience. Best of all, there are no metal brackets or wires. After treatment, you can enjoy a beautifully corrected smile that you will love to show off!
If we determine that you are a good candidate for Invisalign, the process will begin with a digital scan of your mouth. This will allow you to see every step of the process including what your final results will look like! Once your digital plan is approved and finalized, your aligners will be made using a state-of-the-art printing process. Once your aligners are complete, you will begin wearing them at least 20-22 hours per day, only removing them to eat, brush or floss. Approximately every two weeks, you will switch to the next aligner in the series. This will slowly move your teeth into their desired position. The treatment will be complete when the teeth reach their finalized position.
Invisalign aligners have many benefits over traditional braces. They can be removed, so you can eat and drink whatever you like. You will also be able to clean your teeth normally. Since the aligners are clear, many people won’t even notice you are wearing them!
Invisalign is also excellent for patients who play sports since they do not present the same injury risks as metal braces. Once the treatment is complete, it may be necessary to wear a retainer. This will help ensure your teeth maintain their new position.
While the first few days of a new aligner may be uncomfortable, since they are made of smooth plastic, they are far more comfortable than metal braces.
Invisalign can be used to treat most orthodontic issues. They are also great for teens and adults. Set up a consultation today to see if they are right for you.
